This CKC test track was Schutzhund Level III pattern and complexity ('chair' pattern) laid over 2 rolling hills. Judge & tracklayer were on the 2nd of 5 legs when Flint completed the track and delivered the article to hand. The judge certified Flint for his AKC TD as a result of this solid performance. This allows us to skip the US certifying test, and enter the the AKC tracking test directly.

We drew last track of the day, but Flint thrilled me by earning his TDX on his first attempt. A successful TDX takes an average of 17 minutes to complete and handle all the objectives. Flint did his track in 8 minutes, with me keeping him to a trot, and found all the articles with clear indications. The test track had the maximum allowable turns of eight. Seven were 90 degree turns, one was 45 degrees.
